Dota 2: Core/Support Rank Replaced with a Single Rank

Valve have introduced yet another change for the ranking system in Dota 2. Instead of having two separate ranks for Core and Support roles, the players from now on will have only one MMR value.

The new system will be matchmaking players based on their past performance on different roles, such as Easy Lane, Middle Lane, Offlane, Semi-Support and Full Support. When using the Role Queue, the system will apply your full MMR to your best roles and will use a lower MMR when playing on the weaker ones. The initial levels for each role are calculated based on the previous Core/Support MMR values and analysis of the past 100 games. The results of the match, no matter the role, will still affect your actual MMR value.

Besides that, the update introduced a new crate Treasure of the Fallen Cinder, which contains nine regular sets, one rare Phoenix set, and one very rare Wraith King set.
