Virtus.pro have released Egor "epileptick1d" Grigorenko and Vitalie "Save-" Melnic from their Dota 2 roster. To complete the line-up, the organization officially signed Bakyt "Zayac" Emilzhanov and added Zaur "Cooman" Shakhmurzaev as a stand-in.

The organization released a video with comments from their new general manager Sergey Glamozda, the team’s captain Alexey "Solo" Berezin and Bakyt "Zayac" Emilzhanov himself explaining the background of Zayac leaving Natus Vincere and joining Virtus.pro. In the video Zayac states that he was disappointed in his results with Na`Vi and did not want to continue to be a captain. According to Virtus.pro management, Zayac did not have an active contract with Na`Vi. Despite legally being able to sign him without paying for transfer, VP tried to make a deal with the Ukrainian organization. However, the sides did not reach an agreement.

Earlier Natus Vincere released their statement about the situation. According to it, the organization did not want to release the player just a few weeks before the upcoming qualifiers. However, Virtus.pro took advantage of a legal flow in Zayac’s contract and threatened to bring the case in front of court. Eventually, Na`Vi decided to simply release the player.

21-years-old Russian carry player Cooman joined the team as a stand-in. His most recent team Winstrike Team, with them he placed 7-8th at StarLadder Minor Season 2. Earlier he played for The Pango and Team Empire Hope.

Save- and Epileptick1d joined Virtus.pro last fall. During this time the team placed 5-6th at ONE Esports Invitational Singapore and 13-16th at DreamLeague Season 13.
