Team Liquid Come First at CS_Summit 2

Team Liquid defeated Cloud9 in the Grand Finals of cs_summit 2, which was held on February 8-11 in Los Angeles.

The tournament featured eight teams that competed for a $150,000 prize pool in a double-elimination playoffs bracket. In the quarterfinals Team Liquid outplayed Ninjas in Pyjamas (2-1), but then dropped to the loser’s bracket after losing 0-2 to Cloud9 in the semifinals. In the lower bracket the North American team managed to not lose a single map – they defeated 2-0 Torqued, Heroic, and SK Gaming. The grand final was played in the best-of-five format, with Cloud9 having a one-point advantage as they advanced from the upper bracket. The series ended with a 3-2 score on favor of Liquid, granting them $63,750 in prize money.

At the end of the event the organizers announced that the next event in the series – cs_summit 3 – will take place on October 11-14.
