Overwatch Update: Nerfs to Multiple Controlling Abilities
Overwatch developers have released a new balance update for their game on April 29th, which primarily focuses on decreasing the effectiveness of crowd-control abilities.
The update reduced the duration of multiple immobilizing abilities, including Ana’s Sleep Dart (from 6 to 5), Mei’s Endothermic Blaster (from 1.5 to 1.3) and Blizzard (from 5 to 4.25), McCree’s Flashbang (from 0.85 to 0.7), and Reinhardt’s Earthshatter (from 3 to 2.5). Besides that, Sigma’s Accretion was also adjusted – its knockdown duration is now fixed at 0.8 seconds instead of scaling with distance, while the cast time was decreased from 0.75 to 0.65 seconds. Roadhog is the only hero to receive a slight buff – the knockback from his Whole Hog got increased by 20%.
Earlier this month the developers introduced a new damage hero Echo, which is supposed to be the last character added to the game until the release of Overwatch 2.
