New Dates for BLAST Premier Fall Showdown Announced
RFRSH Entertainment, the organizers of the upcoming Counter-Strike: Global Offensive LAN-event BLAST Premier: Fall 2020 Showdown, have announced new dates for the tournament – the event, which was initially set for November 17th-22nd, will now be held on November 25-29th. The place remains unknown.
The change has been made to accommodate for the new dates of ESL One Rio 2020, which were announced earlier – the major was rescheduled from May to November 19th-22nd and will be merged with the fall major. The major’s prize pool has also been increased to $2,000,000, which makes it the highest prize pool in the CS:GO history.
BLAST Premier: Fall 2020 Showdown is a LAN-event with a $325,000 prize pool, which is part of the league’s fall season set to start on October 15th. Currently the league is in the spring season – the online play concluded in February, with FaZe Clan, Natus Vincere, G2 Esports, Team Liquid, Complexity Gaming and OG securing their places in BLAST Premier: Spring 2020 Finals, which is scheduled to be held on June 16th-21st at VTB Arena in Moscow, Russia and features a $750,000 prize pool. Meanwhile Ninjas in Pyjamas, Team Vitality, Evil Geniuses, MIBR, Astralis and 100 Thieves advanced to BLAST Premier: Spring 2020 Showdown, a $325,000 event scheduled for June 2nd-7th.
