ENCE Add Jamppi to their CS:GO Roster as a Sixth Player
Being disappointed with recent results of their Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster, the management of the Finnish esports organization ENCE decided to expand the team to six players and sign a two-years-contract with Elias "Jamppi" Olkkonen.
Jamppi is a 18-years-old player from Finland, who usually fulfils the AWPer role. He started playing professionally in 2017, his most recent team was SJ Gaming. With them he emerged victorious at a number of local events such as Finnish Esports League Season 6/7, LBET Invitational #1 and eSM 2019. The player was benched in December and since then has been inactive.
Currently Jamppi is banned from participating in VALVE events due to a connection to a VAC-banned account. The player denied using cheats and filed a lawsuit against VALVE, blaming their actions for his failed deal with OG.
Today the team will start competing at ESL ONE: Road to Rio – Europe, where they will play with the current roster. Meanwhile, Jamppi is expected to replace Sami "xseveN" Laasanen at DreamHack Masters Spring 2020 and the qualifiers for BLAST Premier.
Earlier Astralis made a similar decision and announced that Patrick "es3tag" Hansen, who is currently on the bench in Heroic, will join their roster as a sixth player on July 1st, 2020.
