Worlds2020: After Quarterfinals, G2 is the Last Western Team Standing

Since none of the American teams managed to make it through the group stage, the playoffs stage of 2020 World Championship started with only two teams representing the Western countries – Fnatic and G2 Esports. After the quarterfinals, only one of them is still standing.

Fnatic were seeded to play with Top Esports, the winners of LPL Summer 2020. Although the European team was considered the outsiders of the series, they had a strong start and won first two matches. However, the Chinese team did not lose their hope and managed to reverse sweep to end the series in their favour.

In the final quarterfinal G2 Esports faced DAMWON Gaming. This time the European team was a favourite, and currently the strongest European team did not fail their fans, confidently winning the series with the 3-0 score.
