Vega Squadron Will Attend StarLadder Invitational Instead of LGD Gaming

The organizers of the upcoming Dota 2 minor tournament StarLadder ImbaTV Invitational Season 5 announced that LGD Gaming refused to participate in the event as the team decided to take some time off to prepare for the upcoming majors. Their place at the event will be filled by CIS team Vega Squadron.

StarLadder ImbaTV Invitational S5 will start tomorrow on April 11th and will continue till April 15th in Kiev, Ukraine. The organizers invited two teams: VGJ.Thunder and Natus Vincere, while the other six teams had to make it through the regional qualifiers: Team Kinguin, FlyToMoon, OpTic Gaming, SG e-sports, Fnatic.

The teams were seeded into two groups of four with GSL format, Vega will take place of LGD in group B next to Natus Vincere, Fnatic and SG e-sports, while OpTic Gaming, VGJ.Thunder, Team Kinguin and FlyToMoon will compete in group A. Top two teams from each group will advance to the single-elimination playoffs bracket with best-of-three regular matches and best-of-five grand finals. The prize pool of the event is set at $300,000.
