Vainglory World Championship 2017: Twelve Best Teams and $140,000 at Stake
The main event of the competitive Vainglory scene kicks off next week with twelve best teams from all over the world competing for their share of a $140,000 prize pool. Beyond that, the developers will present the brand-new 5v5 mode in a show match with pro players, which will happen just before the grand finals of the tournament.
The tournament will start on December 14th with a group stage. Twelve participating teams were seeded into four groups of three, in which they will face each other in a round-robin format with best-of-two series. Top two teams from each group will advance to the quarterfinals of the playoff stage, where they will play in a single-elimination bracket with best-of-five matches and best-of-seven grand finals. The playoffs will begin on December 15th and continue to December 17th.
