Last weekend Taipei hosted a $98,000 Hearthstone competition called All-Star Invitational 2018. In the final series of the event BloodTrail defeated the current world champion Tom60229, receiving $20,000 in prize money.
The event took place on December 29-30th in Taipei, Taiwan. It featured sixteen players from all over the world competing in a single-elimination bracket with Conquest mode and best-of-five series. On their way to the finals BloodTrail defeated Hunterace (3:2), Muzzy (3:2) and Surrender (3:2), while Tom60229 outplayed XiaoT (3:1), Shaxy (3:1) and Thijs (3:1). The final series concluded with the 3-2 score in favour of BloodTrail.
