PUBG Global Invitational Announced with $2,000,000 at Stake
PUBG Corp. announced the first official PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds major event. The tournament will take place in Berlin this summer and feature 20 best teams from all over the world competing for a $2,000,000 prize pool.
The teams will be able to qualify for PUBG Global Invitational 2018 by participating in regional tournaments in North America, Europe and Asia in the beginning of July. Three teams will qualify from Europe, North America and Asia, two teams will make it from CIS, Korea, China and Japan, while each South America/Latin America, Oceania and Middle East/North Africa will be represented by one team, making it in total 20 teams of four players. The main event will be held on July 25-29 in Berlin and divided into two parts: squads with first-person perspective will be played on July 25 and 26, while squads with third-person perspective will be played on July 28 and 29. Each part of the competition will have its own champion.

The team at PUBG Corp. is working tirelessly to ensure that the PGI 2018 exemplifies the pinnacle of PUBG competition and brings to life all of the excitement, tension and exhilaration of the highest level of PUBG play, not only to the fans attending the PGI 2018, but also those watching at home.”
PGI 2018 will be the second event organized by PUBG Corp.. Earlier they hosted PUBG Invitational on August 23-26, 2017, which took place during Gamescom 2017 in Cologne, Germany. The prize pool was set at $350,000, the first place in squads was taken by Luminosity Gaming, consisting of Ninja, Drassel, Chipzy and JP2.
