Tomorrow kicks off the main and the final Hearthstone event of the season – Hearthstone World Championship 2019, which will feature sixteen players from all over the world competing for a $1,000,000 prize pool.
The event will take place on April 25th – 28th in Taipei City, Taiwan. The competition will begin with a group stage, during which sixteen participants will play in four groups with double tournament format. Then top two players from each group will advance to the single-elimination playoffs. All matches will be best-of-five with Conquest mode.

The group stage will be played over April 25th – 26th, while the playoffs stage is scheduled for April 27th – 28th. According to GG.Bet odds, the German player Raphael "BunnyHoppor" Peltzer, the winner of HCT Summer Championship 2018 and the runner-up of HCT Winter Championship, is the favourite of the event. He has been seeded into Group B, where he most likely will face Wu "XiaoT" Juwei, a Chinese player who has the second highest chance to win the event.
Hearthstone World Championship 2019 is the last event of the current competitive system, with the next season featuring a new three-level system that consists of Qualifiers, Live Global Tournaments and Premier Play. Besides that, the next season events will stop using Conquest mode.
