North: Kjaerbye Takes a Break, Replaced by Kristou

The Danish CS:GO player Markus "Kjaerbye" Kjærbye has decided to take a break from competitive scene due to health issues. His place in North will be temporarily taken by Kristoffer "kristou" Aamand.

"Kjaerbye" has been part of North since early 2018, contributing to the team’s success at multiple LAN-events, including first places at DreamHack Open Sevilla 2019 and GG.Bet Ice Challenge 2019 last year. The player stopped competing last week, which forced the team to play at ESL One: Road to Rio – Europe with their coach Jimmy "Jumpy" Berndtsson. Although the team placed 3rd in their group and advanced to the lower bracket, there in the first series they lost to Team Heretics (0-2). Tomorrow, on May 16th, 7:00 PM UK Time, they will compete with GODSENT for the 7th place.

18-years-old Danish player Kristou joined the team on loan from AGF Esports and will play at DreamHack Masters Spring 2020 – Europe, a $160,000 event scheduled for May 19th – June 14th. North have been seeded into group A, where they will compete with Astralis, G2 Esports and Heroic. Learn more about the event in our recent article.
