Ninjas in Pyjamas Release Gunnar and Relocate to Europe

The Swedish organization Ninjas in Pyjamas announced changes in their Dota 2 roster. Due to unsatisfactory results in this season, the team parted ways with their carry player Nico "Gunnar" Lopez. Besides that, the team will relocate from North America to Europe.

Gunnar started to play for Ninjas in Pyjamas in September 2019. With them he attended several LAN-events, including DreamLeague Season 12 (3rd), ESL One Hamburg 2019 (7-8th) and DOTA Summit 11 (5-6th). Besides that, the team attended WePlay! Bukovel Minor 2020, where they finished at the last 7-8th place.

Despite initially having three Americans players in their roster, at the beginning of this season Ninjas in Pyjamas played in the European region. Lately, however, the team switched to the North American region, which allowed them to qualify for the latest minor. According to the team’s captain Peter "ppd" Dager, the team will return to Europe to have an ability to bootcamp for longer a period of time and practice with local teams. Currently the team is trying out possible replacements for Gunnar.
