Newbee’s First Victory After The International
Newbee finally managed to win a tournament after a series of top-3 placements they went through lately. In the Grand Finals of Perfect World Masters minor tournament they defeated Vici Gaming with an impressive score of 3:0.
Despite showing a shaky performance in the groups and placing third, Newbee managed to brace up in the playoffs: on their way to the grand finals Newbee defeated LGD.Forever Young (2:0), Team Kinguin (2:0), Vici Gaming (2:1). In the final series we witnessed a rematch of the Winner’s Finals with the sole exception of the fact that Bo3 format changed to Bo5. This time Vici failed to secure even a single map, losing the series with the 0:3 score. This is the first victory for Newbee since July 2017, when they took the champions title at Galaxy Battles by defeating Planet Odd.
Perfect World Masters is a minor Dota 2 tournament which was held on November 19-26 at Jing'an Sport Center in Shanghai. The tournament featured ten teams competing for $300,000 and 300 Pro Circuit Points.
