Group Draw for DreamHack Open Leipzig 2020

Next weekend the German city of Leipzig will host a CS:GO tournament DreamHack Open Leipzig 2020. Today the event’s organizers have announced group draw results.

The tournament’s group stage will feature eight teams competing in two GSL groups, where opening and winners’ matches will be best-of-one, while elimination and decider matches will be best-of-three. BIG, Cloud9, Renegades and Virtus.pro have been seeded into Group A, while Heroic, MAD Lions, North and Sprout will play in Group B. Top two teams from each group will advance to the single-elimination playoffs bracket with best-of-three series. The opening series of the groups will look as follows (UK Time):

Group A

• 10:00 AM: Virtus.pro vs BIG
• 11:30 AM: Cloud9 vs Renegades

Group B

• 1:00 PM: Heroic vs MAD Lions
• 2:30 PM: North vs Sprout

DreamHack Open Leipzig 2020 will be held on January 24th-26th. The event’s prize pool is set at $100,000. The tournament is also part of ESL Pro Tour, meaning that its winner will qualify for DreamHack Masters Jönköping 2020.
