G2 Esports Are the Champions of Rainbow Six Siege Pro League Season 8
This weekend the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro hosted a $167,000 Rainbow Six: Siege event Pro League Season 8 Finals. G2 Esports defeated FaZe Clan in the grand finals, claiming $75,000 in prize money.
The tournament’s line-up included eight teams: G2 Esports and Mock-it Esports from Europe, Evil Geniuses and Rogue from North America, FaZe Clan and Immortals from Latin America, PET Nora-Rengo and Fnatic from Asia Pacific. They competed in a single-elimination playoffs bracket with best-of-three series.
G2 Esports reached the final series by defeating Immortals (2:0) and Fnatic (2:0), while FaZe Clan outplayed Mock-it Esports in the quarterfinals and FaZe Clan in the semifinals. In the grand finals G2 Esports emerged victorious at both maps.
