Quinn Confirms 2025 as His Final Year in Competitive Play

Midlaner Quinn has announced his departure from the professional scene. He recorded a ten-minute video where he shared that this decision was a long time coming and that he feels now is the right moment to end his career. According to him, the past eight to nine years of his life were entirely dedicated to Dota — training, public matches, and tournaments.

In his address, Quinn emphasized that his main goal was always to become the best midlaner and win major tournaments. In 2023, he managed to prove his level — his team was considered the strongest in the world for a long time, and he felt at the top of his game. However, after that season, Dota became a source of stress, and his motivation gradually began to fade.

The player explained that he had been preparing for this step throughout 2024 and had already decided in advance that 2025 would be his final year. Quinn stressed that he does not regret the path he has taken, despite constant training, travel, and sacrifices of personal time.

Quinn noted that he recorded the video before the start of TI and does not know how the tournament will end for his team, but he is grateful for the support of the fans regardless. After retiring, he plans to work as an on-air talent, continue to be part of Dota, and share his experience with the community. In particular, he intends to create a detailed guide to the game from a professional’s perspective and develop his streaming activities.
