ESL One Cologne 2020: Ninjas in Pyjamas Qualify for Playoffs over Natus Vincere

The group stage of the European division of ESL One Cologne 2020 concludes today, and currently we already know six out of eight teams that will compete in the playoffs. Yesterday their places in the stage were secured by Ninjas in Pyjamas and Heroic.

NiP started the event by losing to OG (1-2), while later in the lower bracket managed to outplay BIG (2-1). In the match for the place in playoffs they outplayed Na`Vi at both Dust II (16:9) and Nuke (16:8). Meanwhile Heroic, who yesterday defeated Fnatic with the 2-0 score (16:11 at Vertigo, 16:11 at Overpass), earlier outplayed FaZe Clan (2-0) and lost to G2 Esports (1-2).

Earlier the following teams qualified for the playoffs through the upper bracket: Sprout with Complexity from Group A and Astralis with G2 Esports from Group B. Later today in the final series of the group stage OG will face MAD Lions (2:00 PM UK Time), while Team Vitality will compete with FaZe Clan (5:30 PM).

ESL One Cologne 2020: Europe features a $325,000 prize pool and will conclude on August 30th. The event is also being held in North America, Oceania and Asia.
