CS:GO Update Introduces Changes to Anubis and Chlorine
This week’s Counter-Strike: Global Offensive update introduces several changes to the maps Anubis and Chlorine, as well as improves the recently added Texture Streaming feature. The full list of changes is below.
Patch Notes:
Rendering
- Texture streaming now loads textures flagged with no mip maps or no lod at full initial resolution.
Maps
Chlorine
- Added missing glowy eyes texture
Anubis
- Fixed many minor issues such as z fighting, prop reflections and invisible faces
- Improved player readability at canal
- Improved performance
- Redesigned B main path & entrance
- Moved up CT spawn
In the last week’s update Valve introduced a new setting Texture Streaming, which is aimed to decrease video memory usage by deferring loading of high-resolution textures until they are needed for rendering. The update also added an ability to change main menu background and improved grenades’ behaviour in several cases.
