BLAST Reveal Plans for 2021
The Danish tournament operator RFRSH has announced the plans for their CS:GO series BLAST Premier in 2021. Just like this year, the series will consist of two seasons and a global final. It is expected that the circuit will feature more matches than ever, with up to 570 hours of competition.
Both Spring and Fall seasons will consist of three stages – Regular Season, Showdown and Finals. The detailed schedule looks as follows:
- BLAST Premier Spring Season
- Regular Season – February 4th – 14th
- Showdown – April 13th – 18th
- Final – June 16th – 20th
- BLAST Premier Fall Season
- Regular Season – August 26th – September 5th
- Showdown – October 12th – 17th
- Final – November 24th – 28th
- BLAST Premier Final – December 14th – 18th
Just like earlier, next year BLAST Premier will have 12 partnered teams. Previously the list of partnered teams looked as follows: 100 Thieves, Astralis, Complexity, Evil Geniuses, FaZe Clan, G2 Esports, Team Liquid, MIBR, Ninjas in Pyjamas, OG and Team Vitality. However, earlier this month 100 Thieves decided to close their CS:GO division – it remains unknown who will take their place.
This year’s BLAST Premier is currently in the early days of the regular fall season – yesterday OG placed first in Group A, while today the competition will begin in Group B. OG and Na`Vi have already secured their places in the finals.
