Astralis: Gla1ve Takes a Medical Leave
The in-game leader of Astralis Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander has taken a medical leave due to stress and burnout. In the coming months he will be replaced by Jakob "JUGi" Hansen, who officially joined the team a week ago.
Gla1ve joined Astralis in October 2016, and has been playing for the team since then. According to the official statement, gla1ve has been experiencing stress-like symptoms for a long period, so his personal doctor and the director of sports at Astralis Group Hasper Hvidt advised the player to take a medical leave. The player is planning to recover in the next three months and come back to the active position in the team.
Earlier Astralis started to expand their CS:GO roster, stating that the players experience constant pressure due to frequent competitions. In March they revealed plans to sign Patrick "es3tag" Hansen as a sixth player on July 1st, and then in May the organization acquired Jakob "JUGi" Hansen as a seventh player.
Currently the team partakes in DreamHack Masters Spring 2020 – Europe, where in their first series they already defeated Heroic with the 2-0 score. Their next match against North is scheduled for May 20th, 4:30 PM UK Time.
